About Sister Cities of Houston
People-to-People Diplomacy in Action
Sister Cities of Houston (SCH) is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing connections between Houston and its international sister cities. Through cultural, educational, economic, and civic exchanges, SCH aims to broaden global perspectives, foster understanding, and promote mutually beneficial relationships that transcend borders. Our work is rooted in the belief that local citizens can be ambassadors of peace, collaboration, and shared opportunity.
Cultural Exchange & Enrichment
We bring global cultures to Houston and send Houstonians abroad — via festivals, exhibitions, performances, and reciprocal visits — to deepen awareness and appreciation across nations.
Educational & Youth Programs
Through youth ambassador programs, talent showcases, student exchanges, and learning opportunities, we empower the next generation to become global citizens and leaders.
Community Engagement & Collaboration
We organize events, forums, delegations, and networking platforms that connect civic organizations, businesses, governments, and residents in Houston and around the world.
