Houston-Leipzig Presents: In a Challenging World, A Potpourri for ‘International Citizens’: Immigration, Naturalization, Tax, & Asylum

    6:30 pm-8:30 pm
    2019.02.07

Join Houston-Leipzig for a Panel Discussion and Get Answers to all your Questions on Thursday, February 7, 2019, at 6:30 p.m.

Today’s world is complex – you need a good navigator to master all the cliffs and shoals ahead, especially in the area of immigration and citizenship. Did you know that there is a potential ‘exit tax’ if you renounce your US citizenship or if you are a long-term green card holder and return to your home country?
What are the advantages or disadvantages of citizenship vs. permanent resident status? The news are full of caravans of people trying to get into the United States – what happens to them at the border? How many will be able to get asylum? Just what can the President do about letting certain people into the country or deny them entry?

Come and find out for yourself just what the real issues and solutions are without the filter of the press. Kenneth Harder and Rodney Koenig bring a wealth of expertise and experience to the panel on both immigration and taxation, and Steve Braun will be the moderator.
