Houston-Leipzig – Monet to Picasso: A Very Private Collection and Berthe Morisot: Impressionist Original

View Calendar

Dr. Helga Aurisch will lead us on one of her excellent tours of two exhibits: Monet to Picasso: A Very Private Collection and Berthe Morisot: Impressionist Original. at the Museum of Fine Arts on Thursday, November 14, 2019. Please find information on payment and RSVP below.

You experience a special occasion when Dr. Helga Aurisch leads you through an art exhibition. Her humorous affection for the artist, the art, and the life and background that created both comes to life before your eyes.

The excitement increases exponentially when the exhibits are from private collections. One of them has never been exhibited, and the owners must remain anonymous.

Do join us on Thursday, November 14, 2019 for a tour with Dr. Aurisch. Our last tours have drawn so many people that we have to divide into two groups, one at 6:30 p.m. and one at 7:30 p.m.

The cost for the tour is $25 for persons under 65, and $20 for those above 65. If you are a member of MFAH, you can get a free entrance ticket from the museum, but you must register with us to participate in the tour.

Your reservation is preserved by prepaying the tickets and registering here:

We are limiting each group to 35, and we must offer the tickets on a first-come-first-served basis. So, please send in your reservation now - the museum needs to have good numbers from us by Tuesday!

Please note parking information from the Museum of Fine Arts Houston here:
According to the MFAH, parking is available in two garages: an above-ground garage at 1144 Binz Street, and an underground garage at 5101 Montrose Blvd.
Parking is free in both garages for MFAH visitors who enter the Museum between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Thursdays.

Guests with limited mobility: Use the covered drop-off lane at the Main Street entrance to the Beck Building. Both the Montrose and the Binz parking garages feature wheelchair-accessible parking, though please note that the garage at 1144 Binz is closer to a Museum entrance.
