Have you registered for the Japan-Texas leadership Symposium yet?

The Japan-Texas Leadership Symposium is the first in a planned series of binational leadership forums and delegation visits during 2019 and 2020 to culminate with an ALL Japan-US Sister Cities Mayors Summit held in Okayama, Japan, coincident with the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. This Symposium and the subsequent leadership gathering are aimed at refreshing, reinvigorating and revitalizing key binational relationships across all leadership sectors within both countries.

We are delighted that Ruth Cotter, senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Human Resources and Investor Relations at AMD, will be a featured speaker at the symposium, sharing her observations, examples, lessons learnt and strength of partnerships as we collectively drive successful citizen diplomacy efforts in business development. Ruth is a member of Sister Cities International Honorary Board Alumni Association, our Global Leaders Circle member and a longtime supporter of SCI. She was recently named a 2018 Silicon Valley 50 Honoree. AMD is one of the sponsors for the symposium.

The symposium would not be possible without The Koyamada International Foundation (KIF), Sister Cities International’s partner in this effort. Shin Koyomada is the Founder of KIF, is a member of the Board of Directors at SCI, and is a Country Representative for Japan and Eastern Asia.

Join us as we connect mayors, city elected and municipal officials, business leaders, academicians and other civic leadership as well as engage lead Japanese/US citizen diplomats, to discuss the issues of the day, share best practices and produce measureable outcomes. In-kind donors to the symposium include GR Consultores and San Jose Stock.
